VETERINARIAN AND ARTIST
About Me
I am a veterinarian and artist, amongst other things, and my home is in Columbus, Ohio. I love to paint and design! It's fair to say that art is my side-hustle. It is my way to escape, relax, and unwind from the rigors of clinical life. I find balance in that duality of my brain.
My specialty is painting murals, which began in the graffiti culture; thus, my brush of choice is a spray can. However my curiosity, observation, and practice have helped me build skills in a variety of mediums. I fully embrace the process of trial and error, and the path of lifelong learning. These additional skills currently include the digital realm for graphic design of logos, posters, vinyl signage, and digital drawings. It also includes large scale canvas paintings and installation pieces. I am inspired to paint and draw things from the natural world in which we inhabit. This ranges from letters and graphics typical of the city, to plants and animals in nature, and the spaces where these overlap, shadow, and invade.
The purpose of my works depends on each piece, but in general I hope to create something bold, colorful, and beautiful for people to enjoy for however long that may be.
